What Is an All-on-Four Procedure?

Most people are familiar with dental implants that replace only one or a few missing teeth. But thanks to advances in dental medicine, implants can now replace a full set of teeth, making it less likely you will need dentures or dental flippers. 

An all-on-four procedure involves four dental implants secured in either the upper or lower arches of your mouth. These implants hold multiple teeth securely to your jawbone. It's very similar to an all-on-6 procedure that uses six implants rather than only four.

Why choose all-on-four implants? This procedure offers some unique benefits:

• The implants used in an all-on-four procedure are smaller than traditional implants. As such, you may be a good candidate for all-on-four even if you do not have adequate bone structure to support regular implants.
